Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) seeks an HSE Manager to establish a compliant HSE Management System aligned with OHSAS and ISO standards. You will monitor compliance and lead initiatives across the HSE function at Jubail from the Saudi national operations.

The role requires 12+ years in refinery or petrochemical HSE, strong RCA, leadership, and the ability to manage multi‑cultural teams. Fluent English and SAP familiarity are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, Environment Management, Chemical engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years' refinery or Petrochemical experience with HSE exposure.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of SAP system.
• Fair knowledge in plant process operations.
• Strong understanding of maintenance execution management.

Responsibilities

• Develop all required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with OHSAS and ISO standards.
• Monitor HSE controllers and coordinate audit schedules.
• Investigate root causes of HSE incidents and report results to HSEQ manager.
• Coordinate and participate in accident and near-miss investigations.
• Review accidents and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure regular emergency drills and preparedness.
• Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentations.

Title

HSE Manager/Safety Manager HSE MANAGER SHSL50 - Manager, HSE KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is looking for an HSE Manager- Establish a HSE Management System that is compliant with OHSAS and ISO monitor compliance with the HSE management system of Company Saudi National. Only Location: Jubail

Responsibilities

• Develop all the required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with OHSAS and ISO standards, including corrective and preventive measures.
• Monitor HSE controllers in executing continuous audits
• Manage the HSE controllers and coordinate their audit schedule
• Investigate the root cause HSE complaints put forward by staff members and report the result to the HSEQ manager
• Coordinate and participate in the investigation of accidents and near misses
• Audit work being performed with "Safe Work Permit"
• Assist with the implementation of Job Safety Analysis and inspect job site activities during particularly difficult or hazardous work situations
• Assist Company management in the preparation and presentation of field HSE meetings
• Review and analyses accidents and near miss incidents and making corrective action recommendations
• Ensure regular emergency response exerCi5es and drills are conducted to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency
• Maintains records of such drills, providing recommendations for emergency response improvements
• Assist in developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans
• Preparing weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health, Safety, Environment Management, Chemical engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 12+years' experience of refinery or Petrochemical with HSE section
• Fluent in writing and reading English
• Good knowledge of SAP system
• Fair knowledge in process operations of plant
• Good technical understanding of maintenance execution management
• Strong knowledge in root cause analysis (RCA)
• Good technical understanding of People management
• Strong technical understanding of HSE requirements
