Job summary

Rosewood Red Sea in Saudi Arabia seeks a Floor Supervisor – Housekeeping to oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation of guest floors and public areas, ensuring luxury service standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and standards.
• Ensure standards comply with LQA, Forbes and Brand requirements.
• Monitor operations of linen, uniform, floors, public areas, offices and storerooms.
• Inventory and control linen, amenities, cleaning supplies and other housekeeping items.
• Prepare daily associates schedules and assignments.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and follow up personally.
• Maintain attendance, grooming standards and daily training calendar.
• Manage lost and found operations.
• Develop, counsel, motivate and discipline staff per hotel policies.
• Maintain floor and pantry checklists daily.
• Interact courteously with guests, staff and community members.
• Escalate and communicate day-to-day issues to supervisory leadership.
• Oversee service standards of the hotel and ensure clean, safe work areas.
• Complete other duties as required.
• Report malfunctions on floors to Engineering and follow up.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and floors stocked with supplies.
• Inspect and clean minibars per procedures.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Floor Supervisor – Housekeeping to oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation of guest floors and public areas while ensuring exceptional luxury service standards. The Floor Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping associates, inspecting guest rooms and floor areas, coordinating daily operations, handling guest requests and complaints, and ensuring compliance with LQA, Forbes and Brand standards.

This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and operational knowledge to ensure all guestrooms, pantries, service areas, and housekeeping operations are maintained at the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
• Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level daily by checking, training, and following the LQA, Forbes and Brand standards.
• Monitor and control operation of various sections including, but not limited to linen room, uniform room, floors, public areas, offices, and storerooms.
• Inventory, issue and control use of linen, amenities, cleaning supplies, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Prepare associates schedules and assignments on daily basis.
• Ensure guest complaints are resolved in a timely manner and follow up on the glitches personally.
• Maintain associate attendance, daily briefings, grooming standards, daily training calendar.
• Lost and found drops, entry and monitoring.
• Developing, counseling, motivating, and disciplining staff in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Maintaining floor checklist and pantry checklist on daily basis
• Interact in courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff, and community members.
• Complete in charge and empowered for day-to-day glitches and updating the Assistant Director of Housekeeping/Director of Housekeeping, if there is a highlight required.
• Respond in courteous, professional, and rapid manner to resolve all guests’ and associates’ difficulties.
• Supervise, direct, coordinate, and associates to maintain service standards of hotel.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area.
• All other duties as required.
• Report on all malfunctions on assigned floors to Engineering department. Follow up any reports by taking further action if required.
• Ensure all associates’ equipment is well maintained and in proper working order.
• Ensure all floors are stocked properly with correct supplies.
• Inspect and clean the minibars in accordance with departmental procedures and policies
