Samsung E&A is seeking an Inspector to perform site inspections of heavy equipment and piping, ensuring conformance to QA/QC plans and international codes. The role requires coordinating with other inspectors, validating welder approvals, and contributing to safe, compliant construction activities on Oil & Gas/EPC projects.

Qualified candidates will have a Engineering degree and proven experience in HSE, incident response, and inspection disciplines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience inspecting heavy equipment in Oil & Gas/EPC projects.
Knowledge of HSE, incident response and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Inspect heavy equipment at site and ensure conformance with QA/QC plans.
Establish and follow inspection/test plans per international codes and project requirements.
Coordinate activities with discipline inspectors to maintain construction integrity.
Verify welder qualifications are valid and used appropriately on site.
Review technical specs and QA plans to ensure compliant construction practices.
Assist with NDE procedures and validation of inspection records.

Job Description

General Characteristics (Job Summary):

Inspection of Heavy Equipment at site.
Perform quality activities in accordance with quality management system established.
Establish inspection and test plans and its record forms as per project requirements and international codes and standards.
Carry out inspections on discipline responsible to determine whether work performed conforms to quality requirements, and recording its result.
Ensure inspection status is controlled through efficient tools such as inspection matrix.
Coordinate direct activities with the other discipline inspectors to maintain consistency and integrity in the overall construction.
Inspection of piping, welding, painting and insulation activities and supports subcontractor to ensure quality and efficiency in accordance with project specification.
Review Customer's technical specifications and Quality Assurance Plans, QC Procedures and NDE procedures assist with establishing acceptable working practices for construction activities.
Verifying that adequate and valid welder approvals are available, and that only approved welders are used in production.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher degree in any Engineering or equivalent (Fire, Safety, Chemical, relevant Majors are preferred).

Experience

Experience in inspecting heavy equipments with SA-CSM Mechanical & Equipments and GI 7.030 inspection and testing requirements.
Project based safety control experience gained within the Oil and Gas industry/EPC projects or Petrochemical

Knowledge

Competent knowledge in HSE.
Knowledge in performing ERT Member for incident/accident situation, chemical spill, fire, working at height, Confined Space vessel horizontal & vertical search and rescue.
Knowledge in PSSR Pre start up safety review assessment, plant operation and shutdown as well.
Knowledgeable in documentation and presentation.
Good management and leadership skills with responsible attitude.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Power Point Presentation applications.
