Job summary

SAMSUNG E&A is seeking an Equipment Inspection professional to be based on a site in Saudi Arabia. You will oversee quality inspections, coordinate with discipline inspectors, and ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Ideal candidates have a background in HSE, safety management, and relevant certifications like ISO 45001, NEBOSH, and IOSH, with experience in Oil & Gas EPC or Petrochemical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or equivalent; Fire, Safety or Chemical majors preferred.
• Experience inspecting equipment in SA-CSM Mechanical & Equipment and GI 7.030 requirements.
• Safety control experience in Oil & Gas EPC or Petrochemical projects is preferred.
• Certifications in ISO 45001 (Construction), NEBOSH (IGC1-3) and IOSH are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment at site to verify compliance with quality requirements.
• Perform quality activities per the QMS established for the project.
• Establish inspection and test plans and records per project specs and codes.
• Check work discipline for conformance; record results accordingly.
• Ensure inspection status is tracked via an inspection matrix.
• Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to maintain consistency.
• Inspect piping, welding, painting, insulation; support subcontractors.
• Review Customer specs, QA/QC and NDE procedures; ensure compliant practices.
• Verify welder approvals are valid and used appropriately in production.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Inspection of Equipment at site.
• Perform quality activities in accordance with quality management system established.
• Establish inspection and test plans and its record forms as per project requirements and international codes & standards.
• Carry out inspections on discipline responsible to determine whether work performed conforms to quality requirements, and recording its result.
• Ensure inspection status is controlled through efficient tools such as inspection matrix.
• Coordinate direct activities with the other discipline inspectors to maintain consistency and integrity in the overall construction.
• Inspection of piping, welding, painting and insulation activities and supports subcontractor to ensure quality and efficiency in accordance with project specification.
• Review Customer's technical specifications and Quality Assurance Plans, QC Procedures and NDE procedures assist with establishing acceptable working practices for construction activities.
• Verifying that adequate and valid welder approvals are available, and that only approved welders are used in production.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in any Engineering or equivalent (Fire, Safety, Chemical, relevant Majors are preferred).

Experience

• Experience in inspecting equipment with SA-CSM Mechanical & Equipment and GI 7.030 inspection and testing requirements.
• Project based safety control experience gained within the Oil and Gas industry/EPC projects or Petrochemical.

Knowledge

• Competent knowledge in HSE
• Knowledge in performing ERT Member for incident/accident situation, chemical spill, fire, working at height, Confined Space vessel horizontal & vertical search and rescue.
• Knowledge in PSSR pre-start up safety review assessment, plant operation and shutdown as well.
• Knowledgeable in documentation and presentation.
• Good management and leadership skills with responsible attitude.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint Presentation applications.
