Job summary

Cochlear is seeking a Clinical Technical Specialist based in Abha, Saudi Arabia, to support surgeons and audiologists across the South Region. You will guide surgical planning, device programming, and clinical education, traveling extensively to deliver hands-on training and post-operative follow-up.

You will build strong professional relationships, share clinical insights, and help develop sustainable hearing-care programs while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in audiology, biomedical engineering, healthcare sciences or related field; audiology preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant clinical audiology or healthcare experience.
• Experience supporting surgical procedures or working in surgical environments.
• Strong presentation, training and communication skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Ability to travel extensively and hold a driving licence.
• Audiology licence in Saudi SCFHS.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical guidance across Cochlear’s implant and acoustic hearing solutions.
• Support surgeons and clinical teams with surgical planning, procedures, device programming, troubleshooting and patient-outcome optimisation.
• Provide pre-operative consultation, intra-operative technical assistance and post-operative follow-up.
• Design and deliver practical training for surgeons, audiologists, speech therapists and clinical support teams.
• Facilitate workshops, hands-on sessions and clinical education programmes.
• Support introduction and effective use of new products and software.
• Build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
• Contribute clinical insight to account planning, tenders and market-development opportunities.
• Represent Cochlear at professional meetings and educational events.
• Maintain accurate activity and case-support records.
• Work in line with Cochlear’s quality and safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
