Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices (OSHA, ISO 45001, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian workplace safety regulations and labor laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in analyzing safety data and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Preferred: First aid and CPR certification.
  • Preferred: Experience with safety management systems and audits.
  • Preferred: Background in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Vision 2030 workplace safety initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with Saudi Arabian labor regulations and international standards
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential safety concerns and recommend corrective actions
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; document findings and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence
  • Organize and deliver safety training programs and induction sessions for new employees and existing staff on relevant safety topics
  • Maintain accurate and organized health and safety records, documentation, and reports required for regulatory compliance and audits
  • Collaborate with management and department heads to ensure safety protocols are understood and consistently followed across the organization
  • Monitor workplace conditions and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Prepare and present safety performance reports and metrics to senior management
  • Stay current with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations applicable to the organization
  • Coordinate with external safety auditors and regulatory bodies as needed
