Head Pastry Chef

As the Head Pastry Chef at our luxurious hotel in Mecca, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department. Your main focus will be to create and execute delicious and visually appealing desserts for our guests, while also managing a team of pastry chefs and ensuring that all quality and hygiene standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative and innovative pastry menus that cater to different dietary requirements and preferences
• Oversee the preparation, production, and plating of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods
• Train and mentor junior pastry chefs in techniques, recipes, and presentation
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, and cost control for the pastry department
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations for events, banquets, and special requests
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, organization, and maintenance in the kitchen at all times
• Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into menu planning
• Handle any guest feedback or complaints promptly with professionalism

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end hotel or restaurant
• Knowledge of a wide variety of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and presentation styles
• Expertise in creating both traditional and modern pastries with attention to detail
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred
