Yellow Door Energy is seeking an experienced Head of Project Execution, C&I to lead engineering and project management for solar PV, BESS and grid-connected solutions across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, based in Dubai or KSA.

Reporting to the Group COO, you will drive design through handover, ensure grid connection compliance, and manage multi-disciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders to deliver safe, robust and commercially disciplined projects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in solar PV/renewable energy with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering and project delivery teams.
• Strong EPC contracting and project governance experience.
• Experience with GCC Grid Code requirements.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Project Execution, C&I to lead project execution across Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf, based in Dubai or KSA.

Reporting to the Group COO, you will lead engineering and project management for YDE’s Core Projects, typically below 15 MWp / USD 10 million investment, across solar PV, BESS and grid-connected energy solutions, from pre-construction design through construction, commissioning and handover to Operations & Maintenance.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines strong C&I project execution capability with solid technical depth across solar PV, BESS, electrical infrastructure and grid connection, and can lead teams, contractors and stakeholders to deliver safe, technically robust and commercially disciplined projects.

What You’ll Deliver & Own

• Lead and develop the regional Execution team across engineering and project management, setting clear priorities, standards and accountabilities.
• Provide technical and execution leadership from pre-construction and detailed engineering through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Oversee grid connection and Grid Code compliance across LV, MV and HV systems, working with utilities, consultants and contractors to ensure projects meet applicable technical and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee design assurance, constructability and technical optimisation across solar PV, BESS, transformers, switchgear, protection systems and other critical electrical infrastructure.
• Oversee project delivery against approved scope, budget, schedule and technical assumptions, identifying and addressing delivery risks early.
• Lead or oversee technical and EPC negotiations with clients, contractors and other delivery partners.
• Oversee contractor and supplier performance, including technical coordination, site progress, issue resolution and change management.
• Ensure strong QA/QC throughout construction, testing, commissioning, PAC, FAC and end-of-warranty activities.
• Promote strong QHSSE performance and visible safety leadership across project execution.
• Work closely with Development, Commercial, Technical, Procurement and PMO, Finance, Legal, O&M and QHSSE to ensure execution requirements are reflected in project decisions.
• Strengthen project governance, reporting, delivery standards and lessons learned across the regional portfolio.

What You Must Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in solar PV, renewable energy or power infrastructure, including at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role within technical consulting, EPC, project execution, engineering or asset management.
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering and project delivery teams across development, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Strong experience in EPC contracting and negotiations, contractor management, technical due diligence and project delivery governance.
• Strong technical understanding of solar PV, BESS, grid connection and LV/MV/HV electrical infrastructure, including protection and major equipment selection.
• Experience working with utilities and applicable GCC Grid Code requirements as part of project development and execution.
• Experience operating effectively within a multinational, matrix environment involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness, with the judgement to manage complex technical, contractual and delivery issues.

Strong Advantage

• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Hands‑on familiarity with PVSyst and relevant design or simulation tools such as SolarGIS, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PVcase or HOMER.
• Experience across C&I, hybrid and/or utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Exposure to M&A, project acquisition or technical due diligence activities.
