Job summary

prospex development is seeking two hands-on leaders to own product direction and engineering delivery for an Arabic-first commerce platform in Saudi Arabia. You will partner with the Head of Product to turn merchant needs into dependable software, write and review code, and guide AI agents while delivering quality results.

You will own architecture and technical readiness, ensure secure and reliable payment flows, and collaborate with a small team and specialist support to move fast and maintain

Qualifications

• Hands-on ownership of production commerce, payments, or similar multi-tenant systems.
• Strong architecture and debugging skills with experience handling integrations, incidents, and migrations.
• Proven use of AI coding agents across implementation, review, and testing to accelerate delivery.

Our Client is an Arabic-first commerce platform for merchants in Saudi Arabia. We are hiring two hands-on leaders to own product direction and engineering delivery, using AI to help a small team achieve exceptional speed and quality.

Own our Client's architecture, implementation, and technical readiness. Partner with the Head of Product to turn merchant needs into dependable software. You will write and review code, direct AI agents, and take responsibility for the result.

What You Will Own

• Make architecture and implementation decisions within agreed business goals and budget.
• Lead AI-assisted development, code review, automated testing, deployment, and operational readiness.
• Own payment correctness, reconciliation, merchant account isolation, security, and reliability.
• Plan and rehearse data migration, recovery, and rollback; reject unsafe implementations and block unsafe releases.
• Resolve delivery tradeoffs with Product and show progress through working merchant workflows.

What You Bring

• Hands-on ownership of production commerce, payments, or similarly demanding multi-tenant systems.
• Strong architecture and debugging skills, with examples of handling integrations, incidents, and migrations.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding agents across implementation, review, and testing, with evidence of faster delivery.
• The ability to catch incorrect AI output, challenge weak tests, and independently verify correctness.
• Independent judgment and clear communication; willingness to build directly with a small team and specialist support.

AI-assisted delivery is mandatory. You must demonstrate both effective agent use and the engineering judgment to inspect, correct, and take responsibility for generated code.

First 90 days

Establish the technical baseline, agree a credible delivery plan with Product, demonstrate complete priority workflows, and rehearse representative migration and rollback. Commit to a pilot date after assessing readiness and dependencies.
