Job summary

SDGs @ IsDB Group seeks a Global Lead Procurement Officer to advance procurement policies, guidelines, and tools for Bank‑financed operations. The role drives fiduciary integrity, transparency and value-for-money, while guiding complex procurement challenges across regional hubs and partner institutions.

The incumbent will support development partner collaboration, monitor portfolio procurement performance and lead capacity building for member countries and executing agencies to ensure timely

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, economics, business administration, public procurement or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project procurement related to the project cycle of MDBs.
• Deep understanding of procurement policies and procedures, including their interpretation as best practice.
• Minimum of 3 years of exposure to procurement practices of similar MDBs.
• Languages: English mandatory; Arabic and French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of procurement policies and procedures based on member country needs and MDB practices.
• Develop procurement plans, risk matrices and guidance notes for project procurement cycles.
• Coordinate with RHs and operations teams to implement procurement arrangements across projects.
• Provide expert advice on procurement issues to management and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and delegation of authority during procurement reviews.
• Lead country procurement assessments and capacity development initiatives to strengthen procurement systems.
