Job summary

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Umluj is seeking a General Technician (HVAC & Cold rooms) to maintain, repair and optimize heating, cooling and refrigeration systems across the resort facilities.

You will inspect and service AHU, FCU, compressors and related equipment, ensure safety compliance, coordinate with departments and keep accurate logs and inventories. This role requires teamwork, strong problem-solving and a proactive service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair HVAC, cold rooms, AHU/FCU, and related equipment.
• Recycle and charge refrigerants; test systems and safety controls.
• Manage inventory of HVAC tools and materials; keep storage organized.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other departments on maintenance and renovations.
• Repair or replace condensers, compressors, pumps, valves, motors, bearings, belts.
• Install and maintain HVAC units, coils, fans and subsystems; perform welding as needed.
• Read and follow blueprints or building plans.
• Complete work orders promptly and accurately under schedule guidelines.
• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance as per program.
• Deliver high-quality HVAC and cold room work consistently.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE on duty.
• Document work slips and log activities daily.
• Keep workspace clean and organized; uphold InterContinental guidelines.

General Technician (HVAC & Cold rooms)

As a HVAC & Cold rooms technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of all tasks, including:

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repairing of heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning, AHU, FCU, air compressors, and all auxiliary equipment.
• Recycle and charge refrigerants as required. Inspect and test refrigeration systems, safety devices, and control for efficiency of operation and compliance with safety practice and regulations.
• Ensure proper inventory and storage of HVAC and Cold room tools, equipment, and materials.
• Respond to emergency repair requests promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with other departments to support maintenance and renovation projects.
• Repair or replace condensers, compressors, pumps, valves, motors, bearings, belts and other parts.
• Install, repair and maintain major heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning units, coils, fans, subsystems and components parts; perform welding and soldering as needed.
• Understanding and following blueprints or building plans
• Completing HVAC and Cold rooms work orders promptly and accurately.
• Performing routine and preventive maintenance as per the scheduled program.
• Consistently delivering high-quality HVAC and Cold rooms work.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment while on duty.
• Accurately completing and submitting work slips (or online system) and request forms (or work log) at the end of each shift.
• Keeping the workspace clean and always organized.
• Upholding InterContinental’s guidelines and service standards, consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
