Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Front End Washer Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot specialized washing equipment in our can-manufacturing facility.

You will ensure optimal performance and reliability of front-end washing systems and collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime. Candidates should have 3–5 years in maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, and experience reading blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with maintenance and repair of industrial washing equipment or similar automated machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls (sensors, motors, PLCs).
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance inspections and preventative measures on front-end washing machines and related auxiliary equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on washers, dryers, and conveyance systems
• Troubleshoot complex machinery malfunctions, identify root causes and implement solutions to minimize downtime
• Execute scheduled and unscheduled repairs including component replacement, alignment and calibration
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and blueprints to aid troubleshooting and repair activities
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and parts inventory
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine performance and efficiency
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs
