Job summary

CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd is seeking a skilled Front End Mechanic to maintain and repair industrial machinery and equipment in our manufacturing facility, aiming to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

The role involves preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and collaborating with production teams to prevent equipment failures. Flexible shifts including nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience with can-making or similar high-speed production machinery preferred.
• Proficient in diagnosing mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of front-end production machinery including presses, trimmers, flangers, and seaming machines.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement repairs.
• Troubleshoot complex malfunctions and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Execute adjustments and calibrations to meet specifications.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components like gears, bearings, shafts, and motors.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints for troubleshooting and repair.
• Document maintenance and repair activities accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with production teams to address potential equipment issues.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with production equipment and implement effective repairs.
• Troubleshoot complex machinery malfunctions and identify root causes to prevent reoccurrence.
• Execute precise adjustments and calibrations to ensure machinery operates according to specifications.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components, including gears, bearings, shafts, and motors.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to aid in troubleshooting and repair.

• Familiarity with various hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
