Job summary

Tabby Kuwait is seeking a General Manager to lead the launch of a licensed onshore operation, standing up the local entity, team and growth plan from day one. You will be the face of Tabby to the regulator and local banking ecosystem, building partnerships and delivering accountable growth.

You will own the market P&L, drive product alignment with group and ensure regulatory compliance, while scaling a lean, capable team in Kuwait.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in general management or senior commercial role with P&L accountability.
• Track record launching or scaling regulated financial services, payments or fintech in GCC markets.
• Direct experience as accountable executive in relation with a financial regulator — licensing, submissions, examinations or remediation.
• Domain expertise in fintech, consumer lending/BNPL, payments or e-money, or retail banking and cards, with GCC licensing knowledge.
• Proven merchant or B2B commercial track record and ability to build partnerships from a low base.

Responsibilities

• Own the Central Bank of Kuwait relationship end to end — licensing and ongoing supervisory dialogue.
• Stand up Tabby Payments K.S.C.C. as a local entity with team, compliance, operations and governance.
• Carry full commercial ownership of Kuwait market: merchant acquisition, bank partnerships, local marketing and growth.
• Own local P&L and market-level economics within group frameworks for product, credit, risk, treasury and legal.
• Build and lead the local team, define hiring plan and manage cost base.
• Define and sequence market product roadmap with group product and licensing constraints.
• Represent Tabby externally to banks, merchants, partners and regulator.
