Job summary

• Coordinate planning/reporting cycles across FM Leads; act as central FM data/GRC liaison.
• Identify efficiency and cost-optimization opportunities; support scaling the FM function.

We are currently seeking an experienced FM Planning & Oversight Director to join King Abdullah Gardens. The role leads strategic planning, budgeting, governance and performance oversight across Facility Management’s four service areas: Technical & Asset Management, Soft Services, Hard Services, and HSE & QA. The Director will give the Head of Facility Management and executive leadership a single, consolidated view of FM performance, budget utilization and contractor compliance across the Gardens’ contractor workforce and annual operating budget, ensuring consistency, accountability and continuous improvement across the FM function.

1. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Annual Planning

• Lead the annual operational planning and budgeting cycle across all FM functions (Technical & Asset Management, Soft Services, Hard Services, HSE & QA).
• Consolidate resource, budget, and service-level planning inputs from each FM Lead into a single FM operating plan.

Performance Oversight & Reporting

• Own consolidated KPI / SLA reporting across all FM service areas and contractors.
• Prepare executive and Board-level FM performance reports for the Head of Facility Management.

Contractor & Budget Governance

• Oversee contract performance, budget utilization, and variance across all FM service contracts.
• Support contract renewal, retendering, and commercial negotiation processes in coordination with Procurement.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate planning and reporting cycles across the FM Leads (Technical & Asset Management, Soft Services, Hard Services, HSE & QA) to ensure consistency and alignment.
• Act as the central point of contact for FM data, planning, and governance matters with GRC, Finance, and executive leadership.
• Identify efficiency and cost-optimization opportunities across FM operations.
• Support the Head of Facility Management in structuring and scaling the FM function.
• Performs other job-related duties in the role as assigned.

2. Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree or relevant professional certification (IFMA, RICS) preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years in facility management, asset management, or operations planning, including experience overseeing multi-service contractor environments.
• Preferred background: Large-scale, multi-site, or destination / hospitality operations; budget planning and governance experience.
