Job summary

Soum is seeking a Finance Operations Accountant to own reconciliations, support month-end close, and ensure our books in Odoo are accurate and audit-ready at all times. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in accounting, finance operations, or audit, with IFRS grounding and strong analytical and stakeholder skills to work with auditors, banks, and vendors as Soum scales.

Qualifications

2–4 years in accounting, finance operations, or audit.
Experience with Odoo or a similar ERP.
IFRS knowledge and month-end close.
Strong analytical and audit-minded mindset.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day bookkeeping and ledger accuracy in Odoo.
Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end close: journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules.
Analyze financial data to flag anomalies, trends, or control gaps.
Act as a key contact for external auditors—preparing schedules, responding to requests, and ensuring documentation is audit-ready year-round.
Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve financial queries and reflect business reality in accounting.
Maintain and improve Odoo-based accounting workflows and tighten controls as the business scales.
Support the Senior Accountant on financial reporting, ad hoc analysis, and process documentation.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulatory/tax requirements (e.g., ZATCA, VAT).
