Job summary

APEX Resources invites applications for a Field Specialist in Oil & Gas exploration services. The role covers drill-bit field work with underreamer knowledge a plus, and involves three months fixed pay with a daily field bonus of 150 USD.

Training, safety induction, medical checks, PPE and transport to site are provided. Responsibilities include planning and pre-job execution, bit selection, optimizing drilling performance, on-site support, post-run analysis and adherence to QHSE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of field experience as a Drilling Field Engineer / Bit Man.
• Experience with drill bit / drilling services providers or oilfield service companies.
• Experience with drilling performance optimization and pre-job engineering.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; strong safety orientation.
• Flexible and adaptable to rotational/field-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform drill-well-on-paper planning and pre-job execution.
• Analyze client requirements and select drill bit and parameters.
• Optimize drilling performance (ROP, bit life, dull grading) safely.
• Provide on-site technical support during drilling across multiple well profiles.
• Conduct post-run analysis and reporting for continuous improvement.
• Uphold QHSE standards and safe work practices.
• Coordinate with rig crews, clients, and internal teams.
• Drill-bit field experience emphasized as advantageous.
• Support QA/QC activities and equipment maintenance oversight.

Hiring A Field Specialist for Oil & Gas exploration services.

• Drill-bit field experience. Knowledge and experience with Underreamer operations would be an added advantage.

• The assignment will be fixed for 3 months with a Fixed Total salary as a package, and Field bonus of 150$ per day on the field.
• Client will be offering all the trainings, Safety induction, medical check, PPE, and transportation to and from Site.
• After the 3 months period, the assignment will be under on-call basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform drill-well-on-paper planning and pre-job execution to align with the client's drilling program.
• Analyze client requirements and recommend appropriate drill bit selection and drilling parameters.
• Optimize drilling performance (ROP, bit life, dull grading) while ensuring safe execution.
• Provide on-site technical support during drilling operations across multiple well profiles, including deep gas wells.
• Conduct post-run analysis and reporting to support continuous improvement.
• Uphold QHSE standards, hazard identification, and safe work practices at all times.
• Coordinate with rig crews, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Drill-bit field experience. Knowledge and experience with Underreamer operations would be an added advantage.
• (Where applicable) Support QA/QC activities, tool/equipment maintenance oversight, and review of process/technical packages.
