Job summary

Applus+ is seeking a field inspector to carry out utility excavation inspections across the Riyadh Region, verifying reinstatement per checklists and documenting findings via the digital inspection platform.

The role requires a diploma in a technical field, 0-2 years' experience (2025 grads welcome), a Saudi driving licence, and attention to safety. You will work field-based with daily site visits and report accuracy.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil, Architectural, Surveying, Electrical, Mechanical or Quality Engineering Technology.
• 0-2 years experience; recent graduates (2025 onwards) are preferred.
• Valid Saudi driving licence (mandatory).
• Co-op training or site exposure in construction, roads or infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field visits to inspection sites.
• Inspect backfilling, asphalt reinstatement, and kerbs.
• Take measurements and capture geo-tagged photos.
• Record observations and submit reports on time.
• Respond to reviewer comments and re-inspect when required.
• Maintain company vehicle, device and tools per policy.
• Comply with safety requirements and wear PPE.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Carry out field inspections of utility excavation works across Riyadh Region on behalf of the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center (RIPC), verifying that sites are reinstated in line with approved checklists and specifications, and documenting findings through the digital inspection platform to support timely and accurate permit closure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct daily field visits to completed utility excavation sites assigned through the inspection platform.
• Inspect backfilling, asphalt reinstatement, surface restoration, kerbs, pavements and road markings against the approved RIPC checklist.
• Take measurements (length, width, levels) and capture clear geo-tagged photos of every inspected item.
• Record observations and non-conformities accurately in the mobile inspection application and submit reports on time.
• Respond to reviewer comments and re-inspect sites when required.
• Maintain the company vehicle, mobile device and measuring tools in good condition and follow the vehicle-use policy.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Languages: Arabic (fluent); basic English is an advantage.
• Nationality: Only Saudi

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Number of inspections completed against the daily target.
• Report accuracy – percentage of reports accepted at first review.
• On-time report submission and adherence to safety and vehicle policies.

WORKING CONDITIONS & TOOLS

Field-based role across Riyadh Region with outdoor work in varying weather. Mobile phone and SIM, uniform and measuring tools, plus on-the-job training on inspection standards and the digital reporting platform.
