Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Field Engineer for a major ar Rjum project in Saudi Arabia. You will lead electrical/ instrumentation field activities, develop work plans, verify material quality, and produce precise documentation for turnover to Startup/Commissioning.

The role requires extensive inspection work, strong planning abilities, and effective coordination with multi-disciplinary teams on a large, greenfield mining development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical and instrumentation engineering from an accredited university.
• 10 years progressive construction or electrical engineering experience; or 15 years in the MENA region in lieu of a degree.
• Strong English communication and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues for commodity installations.
• Provide field engineering support to superintendents to meet cost and time schedules.
• Develop work plans, perform inspections, coordinate material take-offs and requisitions.
• Ensure procedural compliance, material control, and thorough inspection documentation.
• Prepare quantity listings of field purchased material and equipment.
• Support construction drawings, temporary facilities, and as-built documentation.
• Plan delivery of materials and ensure proper warehousing and environmental protection.
• Review specifications, POs, subcontracts, inspection reports and schedules.
