Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced QA Tester for telecom projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role emphasizes functional, API, ETL, and end-to-end testing across large-scale telecom platforms.

You will validate data transformations, write complex SQL for backend testing, and work with Oracle databases. Collaboration with business users during UAT/BAT is essential, with a focus on AI-driven improvements in ETL processes.

Qualifications

• Mandatory experience in Telecom domain projects.
• Experience with testing large-scale telecom applications and complex data transformations.
• Strong knowledge of data validation and SQL queries across Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

• Perform Functional, Integration, End-to-End (E2E), UAT, and BAT testing for telecom applications.
• Conduct API testing using Postman and validate service integrations across multiple systems.
• Execute ETL testing manually and with Informatica-based tools.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for accuracy and integrity.
• Develop test scenarios for complex telecom business processes and document results.
• Log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Create and validate complex SQL queries for backend testing and data reconciliation.
• Work with Oracle databases and perform field-level mapping validations.
• Apply business rules to validate data movement and staging environments.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders during UAT/BAT phases.
• Explore AI-driven approaches in ETL testing to improve efficiency and quality.

Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced QA Tester with a strong background in Telecom projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in functional testing, API testing, ETL testing, database validation, and end-to-end testing. The role requires hands-on expertise in testing large-scale applications, validating complex data transformations, and ensuring high-quality deliverables across telecom platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Functional, Integration, End-to-End (E2E), UAT, and BAT testing for telecom applications.
• Conduct API testing using "Postman" and validate service integrations across multiple systems.
• Execute ETL testing both manually and using ETL tools such as Informatica.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and execute test scenarios for complex telecom business processes.
• Perform defect identification, logging, tracking, and retesting using defect management tools.
• Create and validate complex SQL queries for backend database testing and data reconciliation.
• Work with Oracle databases and perform field-level mapping validations.
• Apply business rules and logic to validate data movement and staging environments.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders during UAT/BAT phases.
• Explore and implement AI-driven approaches in ETL testing to improve testing efficiency and quality.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of database structures, data mappings, and staging environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working in client-facing environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Work Requirements:

• Willingness to work from the client office, Sunday through Thursday.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
