Job summary

ENGIE Solutions Middle East seeks a Protection Studies Engineer / ETAP Specialist to support power system modeling and protection coordination for Al Dhow Energy's operations. You will ensure protective devices are correctly coordinated and studies inform maintenance decisions with data-driven analysis.

The role requires ETAP proficiency, experience with EHV/HV/MV networks, and the ability to develop and review relay settings, study reports and protection schemes in accordance with IEC/IEEE

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems preferred.
ETAP advanced proficiency required.
Familiarity with SEC, SERA, IEC and IEEE standards.
Strong reporting and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

Build, validate and maintain ETAP models of transmission and distribution networks.
Perform load-flow studies to identify constraints and reinforcement needs.
Conduct short-circuit studies to verify switchgear ratings.
Develop protection relay settings for transmission and distribution protection devices.
Coordinate protection schemes to minimize outages.
Prepare engineering study reports for management and client review.
