Job summary

ETAP Dhahran invites skilled engineers to lead the commissioning and validation of Power Management Systems (PMS) and related automation for Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Utility sectors. You will configure PPC, EMS, MGC, and BESS control, ensuring optimal SOC management, scheduling, and dispatch optimization.

The role requires hands-on experience with Codesys and IEC 61131 PLC tools, plus strong knowledge of Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP3, and IEC 60870 protocols.

Qualifications

• Configure and test multiple communication protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101/104.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and configuration of PMS, EMS, PPC, and MGC.
• Implement and tune PPC controller.
• Configure and commission BESS control including SOC management and hybrid dispatch.
• Design, implement, and commission Power Automation for Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Utility.
• Program and configure PLC/RTU systems for power management applications.
• Prepare, coordinate, and execute FAT with equipment manufacturers.
• Lead SAT per client formats and procedures.

The job

Lead the commissioning, testing, and validation of Power Management Systems (PMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Power Plant Controllers (PPC), Microgrid Controllers (MGC),

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning and configuration of Power Management Systems (PMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Power Plant Controllers (PPC), and Microgrid Controllers (MGC)
• Implement and tune PPC controller.
• Configure and commission Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) control including SOC management, charge/discharge scheduling, and hybrid dispatch optimization.
• Design, implement, and commission Power Automation systems for Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Utility applications.
• Program and configure PLC/RTU systems for power management applications.
• Prepare, coordinate, and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with equipment manufacturers
• Lead Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) as per approved client formats and procedures

Essential Requirements

• Configure and test multiple communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC 61850 (MMS, GOOSE), DNP3, and IEC 60870-5-101/103/104.
• Implement cybersecurity measures as per IEC 62351 and industry best practices
• Software Tool hands on experience on multiple software platform such as Codesys, IEC 61131 PLC Tools.
