Are you an experienced Electrical Protection Engineer passionate about power system reliability, protection schemes, and fault analysis?
JIGPC is seeking a Protection Engineer to join our Maintenance team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability, compliance, and optimization of critical electrical protection systems across our world-class industrial and power generation facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize electrical protection systems, including protective relays, circuit breakers, and fault detection systems.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize system reliability and minimize failures.
- Conduct fault data extraction, analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations.
- Perform testing, calibration, configuration, and commissioning of protection relays and associated equipment.
- Support protection system modifications, upgrades, and integration projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams during shutdowns, turnarounds, and system enhancement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical protection engineering within power generation, utilities, or large industrial facilities.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Protective relays
- Fault analysis
- Relay testing equipment
- Experience with protection relay testing tools such as Omicron and Megger.
- Working knowledge of relay platforms including: SEL, Siemens, GE, MiCOM, Beckwith, REG-DA, and TAPCON.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Power Systems Engineering
- Protection Relay Certifications (SEL, Siemens, GE, Beckwith, etc.)
- Electrical Safety Certification (NFPA 70E)
