Job summary

Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company-Luberef is seeking an Environmental Engineer to monitor regulatory compliance across facilities and capital projects. You will perform audits, oversee emissions and waste, and participate in EIAs while coordinating with engineering teams to embed best available techniques.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering with an environmental concentration, and exposure to local and international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Environmental, Chemical, Civil (Env concentration) or related discipline.
• Professional certifications (PE, CEnv, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH) are highly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in environmental engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Energy sectors.
• Strong familiarity with Middle Eastern/Saudi regulations (NCEC, GAMEP, Royal Commission) and international standards (USEPA, IFC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with SAES, NCEC, and international standards; perform audits and risk assessments.
• Oversee environmental emissions, wastewater treatment, and waste management programs.
• Contribute to EIAs for projects and upgrades; integrate BAT in designs.
• Develop environmental monitoring plans for soil, water, air, and noise; prepare reports.
• Support decarbonization initiatives and energy efficiency measures; participate in training.
