Job summary

Atkins Realis Group in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Environmental Engineer to oversee regulatory compliance, monitor environmental performance, and advise project teams during construction and site supervision of large-scale developments.

Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to regulations, promoting sustainable practices, coordinating with authorities and stakeholders, and maintaining thorough reporting and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering with Environmental specialization, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or Sustainability is an advantage.
• Professional certifications related to environmental management or sustainability are preferred.
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering or environmental organization is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian environmental regulations, municipal requirements and project commitments.
• Monitor construction activities for dust, noise, air quality, wastewater, and hazardous materials handling.
• Support sustainability goals on energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction.
• Coordinate with contractors, regulators, and client representatives on environmental matters.
• Prepare weekly and monthly environmental performance reports and maintain documentation.
