About the Role

As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will design and govern enterprise-wide data architectures that enable secure, interoperable, and insight-driven decision-making. You’ll work across ministries and entities to define data strategies, build data frameworks, and integrate systems following national and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data models, reference architectures, and metadata standards.
  • Establish and govern data management, quality, and classification policies in line with SDAIA and NORA 2.0.
  • Lead the design of data warehouses, data lakes, and integration platforms to support digital transformation.
  • Work closely with business, technology, and security architects to ensure consistent architecture alignment.
  • Advise on data interoperability and open-data initiatives across government entities.
  • Support RFP processes, technical evaluations, and vendor solution reviews.
  • Conduct data maturity assessments and define target data architecture roadmaps.
  • Promote data-driven culture through training, documentation, and governance workshops.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Deep knowledge of data architecture, governance, and integration frameworks.
  • Understanding of SDAIA data policies, NORA 2.0 data reference model, and NCA compliance standards.
  • Experience with ETL tools, data warehouses (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift) and data catalogs.
  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and data modeling techniques (conceptual → physical).
  • Familiarity with EA tools (Sparx EA, Alfabet, iServer) and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 7–10 years of professional experience in Data Architecture or Data Governance.
  • At least 2 years working on Saudi public sector or government data projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Certifications in TOGAF, CDMP, Data Governance, Cloud (Azure/AWS) are a plus.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English required.
