Job summary

TRACTEBEL ENGINEERING S.A DUBAI BRANCH is seeking a senior Engineering Specialist to support EHV/HV/LV power transmission projects, including substations, OHTL and STATCOM systems. You will coordinate engineering activities, prepare technical documentation, and ensure compliance with standards and quality requirements within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a university degree in engineering with a focus on power transmission & distribution and 9 years of experience in related fields,

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree with power transmission & distribution focus.
• 9 years of experience, 7 in relevant field (engineering, design, procurement, project management) in EHV/HV/LV transmission projects.
• Strong background in management reporting, records keeping, meetings, coordination and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and project activities for EHV/HV/LV power transmission and distribution projects.
• Provide technical support for substations, OHTL, UG cables and STATCOM systems.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Monitor deliverables, milestones, issues and action items; prepare reports and presentations.
• Assist in identifying and resolving design discrepancies and project risks; ensure compliance with standards and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Support engineering and project activities for strong EHV HV LV power transmission and distribution projects strong Provide technical support for projects involving Electrical SubstationsOverhead Transmission Lines OHTL Underground UG CablesSTATCOM systemsReview engineering designs technical specifications drawings calculations and project documentation Support the preparation and review of engineering deliverables in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards Coordinate with engineering procurement construction commissioning and project management teams Provide technical input during equipment selection procurement installation testing and commissioning activities Monitor engineering deliverables project milestones technical issues and action items Participate in project and technical meetings with clients contractors consultants suppliers and internal teams Maintain project records technical documentation meeting minutes action trackers and correspondence Prepare and contribute to strong management reports progress reports technical reports and project presentations strong Coordinate technical interfaces between different engineering disciplines and project stakeholders Support identification and resolution of technical issues design discrepancies and project risks Assist in monitoring project activities against approved schedules specifications quality requirements and project objectives Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable technical standards project specifications and quality requirements Provide technical guidance and support to engineering team members where required Maintain effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

Engineering SpecialistsUniversity Degree – Bachelor in Engineering withspecial subject of power transmission & distribution.Nine (9) years of experience, which Seven (7) yearsshall be in the relevant field and discipline and mustbe in Engineering, Design, Procurement, ProjectManagement, of EHV/HV/LV Power Transmissionprojects involving Electrical Substation, OHTL/UGCables, STATCOM.Must have good technical background withmanagement skills and well conversant withmanagement reporting, records keeping, meetings,coordination and correspondence.Good command of written and spoken Englishlanguage is necessary. Similar qualification for Arabiclanguage is desirable & becomes added qualification.
