Job summary

Power International Holding (PIH) in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Electrical Technical Engineer to provide technical support across projects, including design, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems. The role collaborates with engineering teams, project management, construction, vendors and consultants to ensure safety, compliance and reliable performance.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of construction field practices and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and local electrical regulations.
• UPDA certification or equivalent attestation is required.
• ERP knowledge with SAP functional skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with MEP coordinators and main contractor technical teams.
• Ensure shop drawings follow design drawings, specs and coordination with other disciplines.
• Maintain submission schedules and ensure best quality of drawings and documents.
• Ensure compliance with local authorities (KM, QCDD, Ooredoo, Health and Safety) and QCS2014 standards.
• Adhere to the company policies and procedures throughout the project.
• Support client, consultant and MEP project manager in achieving satisfaction and milestones.
• Guide engineers and draftsmen through the work activities and assign targets.
• Review and approve electrical shop drawings and design calculations prior to submission.
• Review and approve electrical material submittals and method statements for correctness.

The Electrical Technical Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering support for electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure across projects and operational activities. The role supports the design, review, installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, operational requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

The position works closely with engineering teams, project management, construction, operations, vendors, and consultants to ensure efficient execution of electrical engineering activities, technical problem resolution, system reliability, and continuous improvement of electrical performance across the organization.

Job Responsibilities 1

Manage and liaise with the MEP coordinators, main contractor technical

Ensure the discipline shop drawings are prepared in accordance with the relevant design drawings,specifications, details in coordination with all other disciplines.

Ensure that the drawings submission schedule efficiently within the target schedule in the best quality.

Ensure the shop drawings are executed in compliance with local authorities that has jurisdiction over the discipline scope of work i.e. KM, QCDD, Ooredoo, Health and Safety and all standards applicable to the project such as QCS2014 and the project specifications.

Ensure adherence to the relevant Company's policies and procedures.

Ensure the satisfaction of the client, consultant and main contractor and MEP project manager/CM always.

Guide the technical engineers/draftsmen through the work activities management process throughout the duration of the project engineering phase.

Assign specific targets to the various work activities.

Plan and allocate responsibilities to team members.

Review and approve Electrical shop drawings and design calculations before submission.

Review and sign-off Electrical material technical submittal before issuance to consultant.

Review and approve method statements in compliance with project specifications, authorities, etc.

To liaise with other technical departments for the relevant reviews, approvals etc.

Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
