A leading engineering company in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in oil and gas projects. The role involves auditing design deliverables, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, and conducting on-site supervision. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and a degree in Electrical Engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD and excellent communication skills are essential. This position offers a competitive salary and is based in Saudi Arabia.
Job Description
1. Familiarity with Iraqi local engineering codes (e.g., Iraqi National Building Code) and international codes.
2. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, material data sheets, and project specifications.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills to address on-site technical issues.
4. Electrical Design & Document Audit
. 5. Audit EPC’s electrical design deliverables. Verify compliance with key standards.
6. Equipment Quality & Compliance Management
7. Audit EPC’s electrical equipment procurement. Inspect incoming equipment. Approve/reject EPC’s technical documents.
8. Construction Supervision & Quality Control. Conduct hands‑on oversight of critical electrical activities. Witness key electrical tests. Resolve technical disputes.
9. Schedule & Risk Management.
10. Risk & Regulatory Compliance :
11. Identify Iraq‑specific electrical risks, Ensure regulatory compliance.
12. Compliance & Stakeholder Coordination.
13. HSE Oversight.
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Oil & Gas Electrical Engineering.
2. Work Experience : Minimum
5 years of electrical engineering experience in oil & gas field projects, with prior experience in the Middle East (especially Iraq, Kuwait, or Saudi Arabia) highly preferred.
3. Language Skills : Mastering English listening, speaking, reading and writing ability
4. Computer Skills : Proficiency in civil engineering software: AutoCAD.
5. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Oil & Gas Electrical Engineering.
6. Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills: capable of mediating between EPC, local contractors, and authorities to keep the project on track.
