Job summary

Solution Leaders Fayez Engineering seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and execution on large-scale projects in the region. You will coordinate with the Principal Electrical Engineer to ensure accurate implementation of project designs and to align work across lead engineers.

You will prepare and review studies, drawings, specs, and equipment lists, resolving complex issues by applying international codes and standards. Strong leadership and stakeholder coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required; professional engineer license preferred.
• 25+ years of experience in oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infra projects.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical engineering practices, codes, standards, and protection methods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Principal Electrical Engineer to ensure correct project design implementation.

Job description

• Coordinates with Principal Electrical Engineer to ensure correct implementation of the project design and coordinates the work of Lead Engineers.
• Prepares and reviews electrical engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and materials and equipment specifications.
• Resolves specialty related electrical engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
• Establishes scope of work for each project or proposal.
• Schedules and expedites work of department.
• Develops organizational procedures, methods and controls.
• Ensures quality and safety standards and procedures are followed.
• Coordinates activities with other departments and clients.
• Determines the need for investigation and research.
• Participates in the development of long-range plans.
• Establishes project objectives and priorities.
• Provides expert advice on electrical engineering design, process and other methods.

AUTHORITY/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Makes staffing decisions and provides employees with training and development opportunities.
• Proposes and manages department budget and participating in development of unit budget.
• Proposes and manages quality and participates in the development of procedures.
• Makes recommendations concerning salary adjustments and performance evaluations.
• Approves timesheets.

Requirements:

• BS in Engineering and registered as a professional engineer with significant experience of 25 years. With Master’s Degree is desirable.
• Has experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and is recognized as specialist in electrical engineering field on large to mega projects.
• Must have thorough knowledge of electrical engineering practices and economic principles, calculation protection methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
