About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic IT Director to lead and oversee all technology operations within our organization. The IT Director will manage the IT department, collaborate with other departments to address their technological needs, and develop solutions that align with the company’s objectives in the sports clubs sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all technology operations (e.g., network security) and evaluate them according to established goals.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and systems to support management strategies.
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and report to management.
  • Coordinate IT managers and supervise IT professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Control the IT budget and report on expenditures.
  • Build relationships with vendors and negotiate cost-efficient contracts.
  • Develop strategy for IT infrastructure (computer systems, security, communication systems).
  • Consult with management to identify business and technology needs and optimize IT usage.
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance.
  • Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff.
  • Manage the company help desk and assess needs for new equipment and software.
  • Evaluate IT operations with regard to established goals.
  • Design, propose, and implement IT strategies within the company’s policy framework.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of SAP and ERP software modules, ensuring successful integration with the business environment.
  • Ensure the development, maintenance, and lawful use of licensed software and hardware.
  • Coordinate internal technical support and vendor support for troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Lead the management and improvement of IT processes such as change management, release management, and incident management.
  • Motivate and develop IT staff, supporting their professional growth.
  • Plan and implement data security and contingency measures, ensuring daily backups and information recovery procedures.
  • Develop new reports or projects as requested by the CEO and department heads.
  • Monitor and manage all services and network equipment.
  • Assist in the selection, purchasing, and implementation of new corporate IT systems, software, and hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 9 years’ experience as an IT Director or in a similar role.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems (hardware/software) and networks.
  • Experience in controlling IT budgets.
