About the Role

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh within the Engineering Department, the Director of Engineering is responsible for overall engineering operations and facility management, ensuring compliance with all local codes, regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and disseminate corporate and hotel policies, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and Human Resources policies.
• Act as a hotel ambassador at all times.
• Develop and maintain engineering guidelines, policies, and procedures to uphold quality and reliability.
• Establish a monthly reporting system to monitor key performance indicators, including guest room maintenance, energy consumption, operational and energy expenses, project updates, LQE activities, and other relevant tasks.
• Prepare an annual and five‑year capital plan.
• Manage all CAPEX and POMEC projects in accordance with group policies and procedures.
• Recruit, select, and manage qualified technicians and engineers.
• Oversee telecommunication system upgrades or enhancements.
• Assist in the annual maintenance of contingency systems supporting IT & T equipment and systems.
• Monitor and forecast POMEC expenses, and prepare summaries and analyses of the annual POMEC budget.
• Ensure engineering colleague performance is monitored and individual career development programs are developed.
• Lead labour cost management.
