Job summary

Expo 2030 Riyadh seeks an experienced editorial and production leader to oversee editorial programming, creative studio, and live broadcast operations. You will manage multi-platform content distribution, partner collaborations, and audience growth strategies for a globally prominent event.

You will coordinate with legal on rights, ensure brand governance, and drive storytelling across major Expo moments, with a focus on international audiences and GCC impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Media and Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Production, Marketing or related field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 12+ years of leadership experience in editorial, creative, production, and distribution within a broadcaster, media house, studio, or large brand content organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee editorial calendar and commissioning aligning with Brand, PR, and Campaigns for a coherent content spine.
  • Set channel programming standards for video, audio, and social; approve commissioning.
  • Lead creative studio with design systems, localization flows, and brand QA across functions.
  • Manage DAM/MAM, metadata taxonomy, rights/clearances, and auditable consent records.
  • Oversee end-to-end production and live broadcasts (multi-cam, OB, presenters) and on-site teams.
  • Distribute content across owned and partner channels; optimize localization, thumbnails, and captions; drive audience growth.
  • Build broadcaster and platform partnerships, negotiate slots, and measure performance.

Job description

Oversee ERC’s editorial engine, creative studio, production & live broadcast, and channel distribution to supply high-quality content and measurable audience growth for Expo 2030 Riyadh, leading the Editorial & Programming, Creative Studio & Operations, Production & Broadcast, and Channels & Audience Growth sections

Responsibilities:
Editorial & Programming
  • Oversee the editorial calendar and commissioning process, aligning storylines with Brand, PR, and Campaigns for a single content spine.
  • Govern commissioning approvals and channel programming standards for video, audio, and social.
  • Provide content kits and training for participant and partner co-production while safeguarding company editorial standards.
Creative Studio & Operations
  • Run the creative studio with standardized design systems, motion/3D, localization flows, and brand QA across all functions.
  • Govern the asset library (DAM/MAM), metadata taxonomy, and rights/clearances to enable compliant re-use at scale.
  • Coordinate with Legal on releases, IP, and music licensing; maintain auditable consent records for all assets.
  • Archive legacy assets and curate collections for post-Expo storytelling and heritage programs.
Production & Broadcast
  • Operate production and live broadcast—run-of-show, presenters, multi-cam/stream engineering, and on-air talent management.
  • Oversee end-to-end production and live broadcast, including studio and field production for interviews, podcasts, vlogs and long-form series, and live broadcast run-of-show, multi-cam/streaming, OB-van engineering and presenters.
  • Manage on-site capture teams and a same-day “newsroom” cadence to publish highlights within hours of key moments.
  • Maintain disaster-recovery plans for live production and studio to protect broadcast continuity.
Channels & Audience Growth
  • Distribute content across owned channels and partner platforms, optimizing thumbnails, captions, and localization for growth.
  • Oversee publishing schedules, thumbnails, captions and localization across platforms, A/B testing and growth experiments.
  • Integrate performance analytics with Campaigns to inform creative rotations, frequency caps, and format mix.
  • Enforce platform safety and brand-suitability rules, including age-gating and geo restrictions where required.
  • Build broadcaster and platform partnerships for marquee programming, negotiating slots, promotion, and measurement.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Media and Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Production, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Professional Certifications Preferred:
  • Relevant certifications in digital media, content strategy, broadcast production, or platform marketing are an advantage.
Experience:
  • 12+ years of relevant experience, with a strong leadership background and proven track record of strategic decision‑making.
Nature of Experience:
  • Experience leading editorial, creative, production, and distribution functions within a broadcaster, media house, studio, or large brand content organization.
  • Proven experience managing live broadcast production for major events, including multi-cam, streaming, and OB operations.
  • Experience building owned-channel audiences and managing broadcaster and platform partnerships.
  • Experience governing digital asset management, rights, clearances, and content compliance.
  • Experience in large-scale international events or the GCC media landscape is preferred.
