Job summary

WSP seeks an experienced Design Manager - Architecture to join our Riyadh-based developer delivery team and lead the design development of large-scale projects across residential, mixed-use, retail, commercial, and hospitality assets.

You will oversee design consultants, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality, commercially viable design solutions aligned with project objectives and approvals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture.
• 15+ years of experience in design management or project delivery.
• Experience on major residential, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, or retail developments.
• Strong understanding of design coordination and consultant management.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural design consultants through all stages of project development.
• Review and coordinate concept, schematic, detailed design, and tender documentation.
• Ensure proposals meet project brief, quality, functionality, and commercial needs.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, and infrastructure teams.
• Monitor design programmes, deliverables, and milestones.
• Participate in workshops, stakeholder reviews, and technical meetings.
• Identify design risks and support mitigation.
• Support value engineering and optimization.
• Assist in obtaining approvals from authorities.
• Prepare design reports and project updates for senior management.

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager - Architecture to be part of a developer's project delivery team, supporting the design and development of large-scale projects across a diverse portfolio that includes residential communities, mixed-use developments, retail destinations, commercial assets, and hospitality projects.

Working within a multidisciplinary project environment, you will oversee the design development process, coordinate with consultants and stakeholders, and help ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, coordinated, and commercially viable design solutions aligned with project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural design consultants throughout all stages of project development.
• Review and coordinate concept, schematic, detailed design, and tender documentation.
• Ensure design proposals meet project brief, quality, functionality, operational, and commercial requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, and infrastructure disciplines.
• Monitor design programmes, deliverables, and key milestones.
• Participate in design workshops, stakeholder reviews, and technical meetings.
• Identify design risks and support the implementation of mitigation measures.
• Support value engineering and optimization initiatives.
• Assist in obtaining approvals from relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• Prepare design reports, presentations, and project updates for senior management.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in design management, architecture, or project delivery.
• Experience on major residential, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, or retail developments.
• Strong understanding of design coordination and consultant management.
• Previous experience within a developer, PMC, or multidisciplinary consultancy environment is preferred.
