Job summary

Decima International is seeking a detail-oriented Design Coordinator to support multidisciplinary design activities for major data center projects in Riyadh. The role assists the Design Manager in coordinating technical information, tracking deliverables, and maintaining communication between consultants and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience coordinating design or engineering projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Experience tracking RFIs, submittals, drawings, and clarifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across CSA, MEP, ICT and other disciplines.
• Track design deliverables, actions, and submission status.
• Maintain design registers, trackers, and logs.
• Prepare meeting minutes and monitor action-item closures.
• Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection/resolution.
• Support design reviews for completeness and coordination.
• Monitor design progress against project schedules.
• Maintain records of approvals, revisions, and design changes.
• Support communication between engineers, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Design Coordinator to support multidisciplinary design activities for major data center projects in Riyadh. The role will assist the Design Manager in coordinating technical information, tracking design deliverables, and maintaining effective communication between consultants, contractors, and engineering disciplines.

The successful candidate will help ensure design information is accurate, coordinated, properly tracked, and available to support construction, commissioning, and handover activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Design Manager in coordinating multidisciplinary design activities.
• Coordinate design information across CSA, MEP, ICT, Security, and other technical disciplines.
• Track design deliverables, outstanding actions, and submission status.
• Maintain design registers, trackers, and action logs.
• Track RFIs, technical submittals, drawings, design comments, and clarifications.
• Follow up with consultants, contractors, and project teams on overdue submissions and responses.
• Support multidisciplinary design coordination meetings.
• Prepare meeting minutes and monitor closure of action items.
• Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection / resolution activities.
• Identify design coordination issues, gaps, and conflicts and elevate them to the Design Manager.
• Support drawing and design-package reviews for completeness and coordination.
• Assist with monitoring design progress against project schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of approvals, revisions, design changes, and technical decisions.
• Coordinate design documentation required for construction activities.
• Support preparation of design progress reports and client presentations.
• Assist with commissioning and handover documentation as required.
• Support communication between engineering disciplines, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in design coordination, engineering coordination, or a similar project role.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Experience tracking RFIs, technical submittals, drawings, and design clarifications.
• Experience maintaining design registers, trackers, and document logs.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination across CSA, MEP, ICT, and other engineering disciplines.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow up on multiple actions simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Revit and Navisworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on data center or mission-critical projects.
• Experience within a PMC or engineering consultancy environment.
• Experience working on large-scale construction, infrastructure, MEP, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with Procore.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Understanding of Saudi construction requirements and local project practices.
• Experience supporting design through construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
