Job summary

Marafiq is seeking a control room operator to manage DCS operations for desalination and water supply systems. You will monitor alarms, collect data, and take corrective actions to maintain safe, reliable production.

Collaboration with field operators and supervisors is essential to resolve deviations and ensure continuous plant performance. The role requires strong adherence to safety and environmental procedures, with experience in large industrial settings and familiarity with plant

Qualifications

• 4 years’ relevant plant operational experience for a Diploma holder
• 6–8 years’ relevant plant operational experience for a High School graduate
• 2 years’ Field Operator experience

Responsibilities

• Carry out all operational activities through DCS and monitor controlling parameters and alarms to ensure continuity of water and seawater production.
• Perform routine checks, record readings and deviations, and take corrective actions as per procedures.
• Review shift handover, logbooks and prepare reports on plant status and incidents.
• Coordinate with field operators and shift supervisor to resolve deviations in electrical systems and plant equipment.
• Maintain safety, quality and environmental standards and communicate risks to supervisors.
