Job summary

Acwa Operations is seeking an operator to monitor system parameters, coordinate with CCR Operator, and manage safe start-up/shut-down of a power/desalination plant. The role requires strict adherence to SOPs, safety rules, and environmental procedures to ensure smooth operations and proper waste disposal.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma, preferably a Degree, with 4 years in Power/Desalination and Middle East experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment system principles
• Understanding of waste identification, classification and disposal
• Knowledge of emissions monitoring
• Awareness of chemicals effects on health and environment
• Familiarity with firefighting equipment and PPE
• Experience with Power/Desalination plant operations

Responsibilities

• Monitor operation parameters and coordinate with CCR Operator
• Safely start up/shut down plant per SOPs
• Report deviations and safety issues
• Inspect area and report abnormalities to CCR Operator
• Coordinate isolations and pre/post-maintenance with Shift Supervisor
• Maintain logbook with shift activities and waste disposal actions
• Assist in training new operators
• Follow risk controls and near-miss reporting
• Maintain housekeeping and adhere to SOPs
