Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a highly experienced Deputy Interface Manager (Technical) to lead and coordinate interfaces across railway, civil works, and external projects in Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong expertise in interface management, signaling, and multinational stakeholder coordination.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 12+ years of experience in project systems interface management, and fluent English communication. On-site deployment with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track interfaces between railway systems, civil works, and external projects to support seamless project integration.
• Review and validate contractor interface deliverables including interface management plans, matrices, registers, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Identify and address interface-related issues with contractors and provide guidance on effective solutions for project delivery.
• Assess contractor interface management performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Metro Design-Build packages and surrounding projects to align design and construction activities.
• Engage with external stakeholders and project management organizations to support interface objectives.
• Collaborate with Lead Civil, Lead Systems, Lead Depot, and Lead Operations & Maintenance teams to resolve interface challenges.
• Ensure consistency between railway subsystems, civil works, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor interface progress with contractor interface managers and prepare status updates for management.
• Prepare interface reports and action trackers for project stakeholders.

Context

SYSTRA is looking for an amazingly talented Deputy Interface Manager (Technical) (Saudi National) to join our team to Monitor and manage project design interfaces to ensure effective coordination across all project disciplines and stakeholders.

Missions/Main Duties

• Monitor and track interfaces between railway systems, civil works, and external projects to support seamless project integration.
• Review and validate contractor interface deliverables, including interface management plans, matrices, registers, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Identify and address interface-related issues with contractors and provide guidance on the most effective solutions for project delivery.
• Assess contractor interface management performance and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Facilitate coordination between Metro Design-Build packages and surrounding projects to ensure alignment of design and construction activities.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, third parties, and project management organizations as required to support interface management objectives.
• Collaborate closely with Lead Civil, Lead Systems, Lead Depot, and Lead Operations & Maintenance teams to resolve interface challenges.
• Ensure consistency and alignment between railway subsystems, civil works, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Engage with contractor interface managers to monitor interface progress, resolve issues, and support project delivery requirements.
• Prepare interface reports, action trackers, and status updates for project management and stakeholders.

Profile/Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong technical expertise in the design and construction of complex railway systems.
• Extensive knowledge of modern railway systems and their interfaces, including signaling and other rail subsystems.
• Experience analyzing and managing system interfaces, preferably on major rail or transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of railway project design and construction management, including stakeholder and interface coordination.
• Minimum 12 years of experience, including significant experience in Project Systems Interface Management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary and multinational project teams.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
