Job summary

Chalhoub Group is seeking a Delivery Captain to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and safe returns within the assigned region in Saudi Arabia. You will load and unload, check orders, and follow the fastest routes while maintaining vehicle condition and security.

The role emphasizes commitment, integrity, empathy and flexibility as core values; work within ISO 9001 and safety standards, collaborating with the Logistics Distribution Department to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license is required.
• Experience in delivery or similar role preferred.
• Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
• Basic communication and customer service skills.
• Basic English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily Deliveries to Wholesale, Retail Outlets.
• Last mile customer delivery.
• Checking the orders before delivery.
• Collecting Returns to warehouse as assigned.
• Collection of orders from shops for last mile.
• Collection of cash from ecom COD customer and handover as per procedure.
• Collection of payment using credit card machine for COD ecom. Customers.
• Complete all process in Fareye.
• Shop-To-Shop Transfers.
• Collecting the necessary documents from shops during return.
• Report all incidents to Logistics Distribution Department.
• Strict adherence to route and schedule as assigned.
• Vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.
• Keep the assigned vehicles clean inside and out.
• Report accidents promptly and follow procedures.
• Follow ISO 9001 quality management requirements.

What you'll be doing

The Delivery Captain is responsible for delivering the customer orders and collecting the returns with care and on timely basis. You will be responsible for the safe delivery of goods within your appointed region.

Your duties will involve ensuring goods are safely secured, your vehicle is in good condition, loading and unloading the vehicle and taking the quickest route to your destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Deliveries to Wholesale, Retail Outlets.
• Last mile customer delivery.
• Checking the orders before delivery
• Collecting Returns to warehouse as assigned
• Collection of orders from shops for last mile
• Collection of cash from ecom COD customer and handover as per procedure
• Collection of payment using credit card machine for COD ecom. Customers
• Complete all process in Fareye
• Shop-To-Shop Transfers
• Collecting the necessary documents from shops during return
• Report all incidents, occasions of misplaced or lost packages to Logistics Distribution Department
• Comply strictly with route and schedule as assigned
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks when necessary
• Report all maintenance issues
• Keep the assigned vehicles clean inside and out
• Ensure that the company vehicle assigned is used exclusively for company business only
• Report any accidents at first possible instant
• Strict adherence to all traffic and road safety regulations
• Receive (or route) all operating instructions via the Logistics Distribution Department
• To work within, promote and identify improvements in company's Quality Management System as per ISO 9001 standards.
• Immediately report any breach in procedures, company policy or security to supervisor / management.
• Strictly follow, develop and improve standard processes, procedures and work instructions. Also promote adherence to procedures by your staff
• Report all incidents, of any nature and however caused, to their immediate superior completing all necessary documentation promptly and accurately
• Always research to improve all warehouse operations according to company's objectives.
• Ensure that workplace health, safety & environment requirements as per OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
