Job summary

VaporVM is seeking a Security Engineer with hands-on NETSCOUT Arbor and DDoS protection experience to manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and mitigate DDoS attacks in a 24/7 production environment.

You will configure, administer, and optimize NETSCOUT Arbor solutions; monitor traffic and attacks; implement detection and mitigation policies; and coordinate with SOC, NOC, network, and vendor teams during incidents, creating clear incident reports and RCA.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Network Security / Cybersecurity.
• Mandatory hands-on NETSCOUT Arbor experience.
• Strong DDoS detection, analysis, and mitigation.
• Good knowledge of networking, routing, BGP, FlowSpec, and TCP/IP.
• ISP, Telecom, Data Center, or large enterprise experience preferred.
• Relevant Arbor, CCNA/CCNP, Security+, CEH, or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot NETSCOUT Arbor solutions.
• Monitor and analyze network traffic and DDoS attacks.
• Implement DDoS detection and mitigation policies, filters, and protection profiles.
• Perform traffic analysis and troubleshoot complex security incidents.
• Coordinate with SOC, NOC, network, cybersecurity, and vendor teams during incidents.
• Perform health checks, configuration optimization, and capacity monitoring.
• Prepare incident reports, RCA, and technical documentation.
• Provide 24/7/on-call support when required.
