Job summary

CoorB is seeking a Data Modeler to analyze existing data structures and design target-state data models. You will work with various datasets, ensuring both conceptual and physical models meet business needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong relational and dimensional data modeling skills, deep SQL knowledge, and preferably experience in the banking or financial services domain. Experience with modeling tools like ERwin or PowerDesigner is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in relational, dimensional, and enterprise data modeling.
• Experience with DWH, ODS, MDM, lakehouse, and semantic modeling.
• Banking or financial services domain knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing data models across ODS, DWH, EDM, marts, and MDM.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the target architecture.
• Support semantic model design for reporting and analytics.

OUR OPPORTUNITY

The Data Modeler analyzes existing data structures and designs target-state conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional, and semantic models.

YOU WILL

• Analyze existing data models across ODS, DWH, EDM, marts, MDM, cubes, and reporting datasets.
• Document current entities, attributes, relationships, keys, hierarchies, and business definitions.
• Identify duplicate entities, inconsistent definitions, and overlapping datasets.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the target architecture.
• Design dimensional models including facts, dimensions, aggregates, and Gold-layer datasets.
• Support semantic model design for reporting and analytics.
• Support MDM domain modeling for customer, account, product, reference data, or other domains.
• Create source-to-target mapping specifications.
• Work with Business Analysts to validate business definitions and rules.
• Work with ETL Developers to ensure correct implementation of models.
• Support reconciliation between existing and target data models.

Requirements

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED

• Strong experience in relational, dimensional, and enterprise data modeling.
• Experience with DWH, ODS, MDM, lakehouse, and semantic modeling.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Experience with ERwin, PowerDesigner, SQL Developer Data Modeler, or similar tools.
• Understanding of facts, dimensions, slowly changing dimensions, keys, hierarchies, and reference data.
• Banking or financial services domain knowledge is preferred.
