Job summary

JAL International Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Data Center Planner to join the Data Centers & Critical Facilities / Information Technology team in a hands-on role focused on capacity planning, racking, and DC operations.

You will coordinate with DC Ops teams, manage shift schedules, and work with OSP/ISP teams on connectivity. The role requires 5+ years IT experience including data center exposure, APC infrastructure experience, and strong Windows/Linux troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• BS or Diploma in Computer Science Engineering, IT, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years IT experience, including at least 3 years in Data Centers.
• APC infrastructure experience is required.
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux configuration/troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of structured copper and fiber-optic cabling.
• Basic knowledge of UPS, electrical distribution, and chilled-water HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights/weekends and on-call rotation when required.

Responsibilities

• Capacity planning for Data Center hosting.
• Prepare racking diagrams and coordinate rack deployments.
• Oversee racking and related activities performed by DC Operations teams.
• Manage Data Center Operations shift schedules.
• Coordinate interbuilding connectivity requirements with OSP/ISP teams.
• Manage the Data Center Asset Register.
• Coordinate vendors and hardware break/fix activities.
• Support troubleshooting of Windows/Linux server hardware issues.
• Monitor critical infrastructure including UPS, HVAC, fire detection & suppression, temperature, humidity, security, and power systems.
• Ensure Copper and Fiber cabling compliance with TIA-942 standards.
