Job summary

Eram Talent is seeking a Data Center Planner based in Thuwwal, Saudi Arabia, to oversee 24x7 DC shift activities and ensure adequate personnel for each shift. The role includes capacity planning, deployment validation, and ensuring DC standards and change processes are followed.

The candidate will manage racking diagrams, asset registers, and vendor coordination, including APC infrastructure, with IT and facility teams to ensure secure, reliable data center operations.

Qualifications

• BS or diploma in computer science engineering, IT, Electrical/ Electronics engineering or Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in Data Centers.
• APC infrastructure experience is required.
• Able to co-ordinate day-to-day activities with facility and IT staff as per Data Center Lead instructions.
• Experience with communications circuits and Ethernet cabling (copper and fiber).
• Proficient in Windows server and Linux configuration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate 24x7 DC shift schedules and staff coverage.
• Oversee racking activities and ensure compliance with DC standards.
• Perform capacity planning for new deployments.
• Liaise with OSP/ISP teams for interbuilding connectivity requirements.
• Manage Data Center Asset Register and vendor relationships.
• Oversee break/fix of servers and coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements.
• Monitor facility security, HVAC, fire detection, power systems, and environmental conditions.
• Ensure Data Center safety and visitor control per SOPs.
• Interface with vendors on hardware/systems implementation.
