Norconsult Telematics Limited seeks an experienced Mechanical Reviewer to validate data center designs, ensuring code compliance, buildability and alignment with the project brief across concept to IFC and shop drawings.

Role requires deep knowledge of precision cooling, generators, BMS, drainage and fire suppression, plus BIM coordination and LOD validation. Strong communication to issue clear review comments is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in mechanical engineering for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Deep knowledge of data center mechanical systems: precision cooling, generators, BMS, drainage, fire suppression, HVAC.
• Familiarity with Tier standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute) and PUE concepts.
• Experience reviewing mechanical design packages in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP; analyze calculations.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination (Revit, Navisworks) and LOD review.
• Understanding IEC 60364, BS 7671, NFPA 70/75, ASHRAE A2, local rules.
• Strong written communication for review comment schedules.

Responsabilités

• Review mechanical design submissions across all stages and issue actionable review comments.
• Assess cooling, piping, fire suppression, HVAC layouts against project requirements.
• Verify compliance with Tier, resilience (N+1, 2N), and PUE targets.
• Check cross-disciplinary coordination and resolve interface gaps.
• Review BIM models and coordination reports, confirm LOD and clash resolution.
• Track status of review comments and contractor responses; maintain issue register.
• Attend design review meetings and prepare minutes and action trackers.
• Support construction by reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, FAT/SAT and commissioning plans.
