The Cybersecurity Senior Engineer will play a critical role in onboarding clients into our Managed Security Services environment, ensuring seamless integration of security logs, data sources, and security solutions into our SIEM and MDR platforms. The engineer will work closely with SOC Analysts, Detection Engineering, Compliance, and Client Success teams to improve visibility, strengthen detection capabilities, and maintain high-quality security telemetry across all customers. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced MSSP environment with multiple clients and diverse technologies.
Core Responsibilities
- Implementation, configuration and data collection: install, configure and integrate SIEM, SOAR, and XDR solutions with network and security devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and antivirus systems.
- Log Management: collect, normalize and analyze security event logs from servers, network devices, and applications; develop log collection mechanisms and define log management processes.
- Integration of Security Tools: integrate SIEM, threat intelligence platforms, vulnerability scanners, and ticketing systems with the SOAR platform for automated data collection, analysis and response across multiple security tools.
- System Maintenance and Optimization: perform system updates, patching and upgrades to ensure SIEM, SOAR, XDR and other security solution platforms operate efficiently; conduct performance tuning and optimization to enhance capabilities.
- Exploration and Continuous Enhancement: explore new solutions for cloud security and continuously enhance security visibility by scanning the market for new solutions and top‑notch technologies.
- Infrastructure Hardening and Security Engineering: define and enforce security best practices for log collection and ingestion infrastructure, including agents, collectors, connectors and secure data transport mechanisms.
- Client Handling and Communication: act as the primary senior technical point of contact during log onboarding and integration engagements; lead client discussions, gather and validate technical requirements, guide onboarding activities, address complex technical queries, provide clear progress updates, and ensure a smooth, professional onboarding experience while strengthening client trust and relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in cybersecurity or related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and penetration testing tools.
- Understanding of network protocols, firewalls and encryption techniques.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISA are a plus.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including translation skills).
