Job summary

SummitLab in Jeddah is seeking a competent Cashier to handle customer interactions and payments at the checkout. You will greet customers, scan items, process transactions, and ensure accurate pricing and receipts. The role requires strong customer service, basic math, and English fluency, with Arabic a plus.

This contract position offers a structured environment with opportunities for growth, and requires flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Prior cashier experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven working experience as a cashier or in a similar role.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations with tact.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them with purchases.
• Scan items and process payments using cash registers.
• Calculate total costs including taxes and discounts.
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or credits to customers.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer and perform cash reconciliations.
• Ensure pricing accuracy by verifying product prices and promotions.
• Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
• Keep checkout area clean and orderly.
• Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels.
