To lead a team of sales representatives to sell and cross-sell SME products & services, as well as provide solutions based on needs, with the objective of achieving targets, while ensuring that credit quality is maintained.
Areas of responsibility
- Implements approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and provides instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
- Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the Corporate Banking function to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
- Manages the SME network of sales representatives, ensuring achievement of revenue, service and profitability targets at the overall and individual level.
- Manages and supports sales representatives in actively acquiring new deals in order to achieve business targets.
- Develops a thorough understanding of customer’s organization, industry and global practices to maintain proximity to the clients and meet their banking needs and expectations.
- Provides guidance and support in identifying revenue opportunities and actively sell Corporate Banking products to SME customers in order to support the sales targets and corporate client base expansion plans.
- Drives product penetration and cross selling seeking opportunities in-order to ensure the services required by SME customers are delivered in the most effective manner.
- Provides guidance in developing account plans in a consistent and timely manner in order to swiftly follow-up on identified action items.
- Provides inputs and market demand insights to the team for loans which are viable for SME customers and also meet the required market demand.
- Reviews CAs and approve them as per authority levels in order to ensure quality and completeness of all CAs before sending them to Credit for CA Review.
- Ensures effective collaboration is in place with the Credit Analytics Unit and Risk Management on an ongoing basis in order to constantly secure and enhance the quality of the credit portfolio.
Qualifications & experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business with preferably a specialization in Finance or Accounting
- 8-10 years relevant experience in banking , preferably 2 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
