Construction Planning Engineer — Schedules & Recovery

Job summary

Al Rugaib Holding Company in Riyadh seeks a skilled Planning Engineer to develop and control project schedules on fast-track projects, monitor progress against baseline, and provide recovery plans to ensure timely completion of contractual dates.

The candidate will prepare and update baseline schedules in Primavera P6, create resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules, and present weekly/monthly progress reports to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 5-7 years of planning experience in building construction projects.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Good knowledge of resource loading, earned value analysis and critical path method.
• Experience in preparing delay analysis and recovery/acceleration schedules.
• PMI-SP or PMP certification is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update the baseline schedule and working programs in Primavera P6.
• Prepare resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules for manpower, equipment and cash flow.
• Monitor actual progress and compare it with the baseline on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and coordinate them with site engineers and subcontractors.
• Identify delays and critical activities and propose recovery and acceleration plans.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves and dashboards for management.
• Support the preparation of extension of time (EOT) and delay analysis submissions.
• Participate in progress meetings with the client and the consultant.
