Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Construction & Commissioning Engineer for projects in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on supervision of construction activities, pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover to Operations, with emphasis on adherence to Saudi Aramco standards and HSE requirements.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, including Brownfield/Greenfield facilities, pipelines and utilities.

Qualifications

• Saudi Aramco project experience is mandatory.
• Minimum 10+ years in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and handover.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities per project specs and standards.
• Monitor site progress, resolve technical issues and ensure timely execution.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Vendors and Construction teams.
• Manage Mechanical Completion, Punch List, System Turnover and handover docs.
• Execute pre-commissioning activities including flushing, pressure testing and loop checks.
• Lead commissioning and start-up for process, utility and support systems.
• Support troubleshooting, performance testing and final handover to Operations.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records and close-out documentation.

Construction & Commissioning Engineers with refinery and petrochemical startup/commissioning experience. Preference should be given to candidates from the Western Region, as the work location will Yanbu.

Job Description

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
• Mandatory: Saudi Aramco project experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and system handover activities.
• Supervise and coordinate construction activities in compliance with project specifications, Saudi Aramco standards, quality requirements, and HSE regulations.
• Monitor site progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely project execution.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Vendors, and Construction teams to achieve project objectives.
• Manage Mechanical Completion, Punch List closure, System Turnover, and handover documentation.
• Execute pre-commissioning activities including flushing, pressure testing, loop checking, and functional testing.
• Lead commissioning and start-up activities for process, utility, and support systems.
• Support troubleshooting, performance testing, and final handover to Operations.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records, and project close-out documentation.
• Experience in Saudi Aramco Brownfield and Greenfield projects, Utilities, Tank Farms, Pipelines, and Industrial Facilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation systems.
