Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Umluj, Saudi Arabia, is looking for a Commis 1 in Pastry to join our luxury pastry kitchen. You will assist the Chef de Partie with mise-en-place, pastry and bakery items for all outlets, supporting daily operations.

Minimum 1 year in a pastry or baker commis role, English proficiency, HACCP awareness, and a culinary diploma preferred. We offer uniform, room discounts, and comprehensive training within a world-class luxury hotel environment.

Commis 1 – Pastry - Bakery

As a Commis 1 in Pastry, you will assist the Pastry Kitchen team in preparing mise-en-place, items, and dishes for all outlets. Your primary responsibility will be supporting the Chef de Partie in daily pastry & bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing pastry & baking items, mise-en-place, and dishes.
• Support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.

Key Requirements

• Strong knowledge of pastry & bakery techniques and preparation.
• Familiarity with Food Safety standards, HACCP guidelines, and COSHH regulations.
• Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
• Good knife skills and familiarity with various culinary techniques preferred.
• Highly motivated with a positive and proactive attitude.
